Mazières 1944.

Last Thursday together with Angus we tried the Chain of Command for another time. I need to confess, that I didn't put enough attention to that system as I should. To refresh the rules we agreed for a small game, so no tanks at all this time. We both had a platoon. I used the British Motorised Platoon for my Poles and Angus used the Panzergrenadiers for his Germans. From the support I got an extra light mortar and I thought it will be enough to win the game...
W ostatni czwartek wraz z Angusem spróbowaliśmy po raz kolejny zasad Chain of Command.

The game. Gra.

In the Patrol phase I did not managed to push Germans to their edge of the table, but instead we both divided the table on half. However I still believed that it can work for me. Then we put the deployment points and I started to send my boys against Germans. I completely forgot, that the Panzergrenadiers had 2 MGs in the squad. That gives 21 dice when firing against my 10... ups! The second mistake was to push my senior officer in the first wave, so to bring the support weapon I had to rolled for that and as you probably guessed, I did not managed to do it the end of the game (I managed to deploy only one mortar). I tried to stop Germans by creating the cover from the smoke, and it worked well for some time, with only one mortar it can not help my boys to win the game. Slowly squad after squad get pinned and eliminated from the game. Finally my morale dropped to 0 and the game get finished. However lesson get lernt! Till the next time!

Do następnego więc czasu!
